Support for mobility

I need to fine-tune my career goals and find out about job opportunities within the Group. Who can I speak to?

The Group’s job mobility and career advice department can help you with your internal job mobility plans. It provides guidance and advice, such as helping you write your CV or prepare for job interviews. You can also speak to the dedicated mobility officers within each Group entity.

Can I move into an entirely new profession?

Yes, you can, but it will depend on your career background and the profession you want to move into. If you’re planning to make this kind of change, you’ll likely need to gain new skills in the short or medium term. You can discuss the feasibility of your plans with your HR officer or your manager.

What if I want to move abroad?

Some of the job offers advertised on Mobyclic are based in other countries. Make sure you meet the language requirements, if any apply. If you don’t have the required level of proficiency, it’s often easier to move to a new entity in France first and apply for a position in another country at a later date.

How do I find the right career bridges for my situation?

In the relevant section of the platform, find your career factsheet and click on “Bridges between professions” to see our suggestions for the different professions open to you (i.e. those that require similar skills to your current role). For each profession, you can view “linked” opportunities by clicking on “See similar offers”. This is a great way to widen your search and explore a broad range of options.

Information available on mobyclic

Are all Bouygues entities shown on the map?

The map shows a selection of the biggest entities (by size or headcount). We’ll add more entities to the map in due course so you can fine-tune your search. If you’d like more information about a particular country or region, you can contact the Group job mobility department.

Are all Group professions represented in the career guide?

The career guide represents the types of professions that the Group covers, without going into specifics. It describes professions that are common to all Group subsidiaries and highlights some of the flagship roles we offer. The idea is to give you a flavour of the opportunities available at Bouygues.

What’s the difference between cross-disciplinary skills and core skills?

Cross-disciplinary skills are skills that cut across a number of professions (hence the name “cross-disciplinary”). By contrast, core skills are more specific and technical in nature and relate to a specific profession or sector. These skills are often acquired through training or professional experience in a similar area of activity.

Internal job mobility arrangements

What are the arrangements for internal job mobility?

Please speak to your HR manager to find out about the arrangements that apply to your internal job mobility (paid leave, help with moving costs, employee benefits, employee share ownership plan, etc.). You can also find the key facts about internal job mobility in our  Mobility charter

Do I need to tell my manager or my HR manager about my plans?

You can attend an initial interview for a position without telling your manager or your HR manager. After this, you can discuss your career goals with them, and they’ll guide and advise you through the process.

I’ve been in my current role for one year. Is it too soon to apply?

Unless special circumstances apply, you should only consider internal job mobility after building up substantial experience in the same entity. Two or three years is generally a reasonable length of time. We recommend you speak to your line manager about your plans.

Will I retain my length of service if I move?

Yes, you’ll retain any length of service you’ve already built up.

Will my salary remain the same? Can I get a promotion?

Transferred employees retain the same annual remuneration and hierarchical level unless their current and new entities agree otherwise (generally where the employee is being promoted).

Applying as an in-house candidate

Can I apply without an account?

No, you’ll need a job applicant account in order to apply for a vacancy. Opening an account has two benefits:

  • You can upload your CV and get email alerts that match your search criteria.
  • Having an internal account will set you apart from external candidates – the person in charge of recruitment will be able to see that you’re already a Bouygues group employee.

After I apply, how long will it take for the person in charge of recruitment to receive and process my application?

The person in charge of recruitment will receive your application the day after you submit it, and you’ll receive a reply no later than one month after applying. You’ll also get a notification confirming that your application has been received. If you don’t hear back after applying for a job, you can contact the person in charge of recruitment and the Group job mobility department.

Will my application be given priority over external candidates?

Yes, your application will always be given priority over external candidates with equivalent background and potential.

Are job offers updated regularly?

Yes, new job offers are published daily. Each vacancy notice includes a publication date and a starting date.

Why are fixed-term positions published on Mobyclic?

These job offers are intended for trainees and people on work/study contracts, as well as for employees currently on fixed-term contracts who want to progress their careers in the Bouygues group.
